Pyramad guide

Writing a good prompt

A useful prompt combines business context, visitor intent, required content and a visual direction without prescribing every implementation detail.

6 minutes

1

Name the audience

Explain who will visit and what they already know. A page for returning customers needs a different opening than one introducing a new idea.

2

Define the outcome

Choose the main action: join a waitlist, request a quote, view work, buy a ticket or understand a report.

3

List required content

Add pages, sections and exact facts that cannot be inferred. Keep optional ideas separate so the hierarchy remains clear.

4

Describe the feeling

Use a few precise visual words—editorial, tactile, playful, restrained, technical—plus a relevant reference if you have one.
